    Go get 'em, Duke!

I love John Wayne movies, though I never really pay any particular attention to their titles. However, Chisum has to be one of my favorites. Next in line would be The Sons of Katie Elder. Just saw it the other night on TV for the first time, and what a great movie! I sure wish they would make 'em like this again. At least there a story behind it that anyone can relate to rather than the gratuitous grab for shock value at the expense of a real plot found in most movies today. Movies like this I can watch over and over again...anything I see in a theater today will rarely entice me to go out and get it on DVD. Braveheart & Patriot are two exceptions. Though they really share the same basic story line (just a different time line is all) they get me every time. There's just something about the little guy, the underdog, getting the best of the oppressive bully that I find rather satisfying, hehe.

I took this while lounging on my sofa watching the movie. C'mon...admit it...you've done the same once or twice. :blush2:
