    Carla Gets Her First Bass!

My baby snagged her first large mouth bass today. She caught it on live worms, and it was quite a surprise indeed. I got myself a much smaller bass after her on a crawdad lure, but I dropped him before we could get a pic... :mad2:

Here she is with a keeper bluegill she got yesterday...

Congrats Carla! I do love to catch those bass. When I first saw the post title I figures john had you fishing in one of his tanks.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Larry,

I don't have tanks any more. Got rid of them all...

    Ali,

It is for sure. There was a time I didn't think it was possible to do anything without a camera in my hand...

    Mike,

Still a bit too nippy up there for bass isn't it?

Got a shot of this guy crusing along the bank maybe 5 feet from me. It's a water moccasin.

All of the ice has been off the lakes around here for a while, but I'm not a huge fisherman so I don't know when people start going for them. Any day on the water is a good day though.

And I thought you grew hawgs down there. But hey, it's a start to a real addiction, and the first of anything is always a thrill. We've got 6 weeks to wait, before we can fish bass legally. I am anxious. They are quite the fighters.

But, you can keep the snake. Snakes don't bother me, unless they're poisonous.
