Utah / Wasatch Front Photogs - Photowalk Tomorrow Night!

Salt Lake City, Ogden and Utah County photographers - tomorrow night (December 16th) is the annual Temple Square photowalk in Salt Lake City. I'm not sure how many years this has been happening but this will be my 3rd year attending and it's totally worth making the effort to be there. You'll meet a ton of dedicated amateur and pro photographers and Temple Square is a great photo location. Normally Church authorities are a bit uptight if you go in to shoot with a tripod but the event organizers got permission for all of us to go in with all our gear and go to town.

I'm going and I'll be bringing Jenni and meeting Youtah there. Let's take advantage of this and make it a mini PR get-together!

I'll have the new Nikon D7000 with me along with the new Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 OS HSM pro zoom lens. I'm not sure what else I'll bring. I'm thinking about giving Jenni the Olympus E-PL1 Micro Four Thirds camera to play with.

If you come, don't forget your tripod! This is definitely a shooting situation that requires a tripod.

Definitely keep it in mind for next year. It's become a regular event for the Utah photo community. The photos in this thread are actually from 2009. I was an hour late because of David Archuleta / Tabernacle Choir concert traffic. I did make it, though. I've posted a few photos in our monthly Photo Project - this month's theme is "holidays."
