Urban Decay Documentary - making the most of a gloomy day?
Hi there,
I am a novice photographer doing a documentary on Urban Decay for my uni course, and have decided to use urban decay as my topic.
I intend to shoot the majority of the project on an overcast day, but want to make the most of it, and dont want the shots to look 'dull'.
Can anyone give me any tips on how to get some great shots in these conditions? Which techniques to use etc?

#1 Go take a bunch of pix with a variety of techniques and see which ones have the look you want.
#2 Go back out and shoot more with the technique that got you the look you wanted.
#3 Great shots are in the eye of the beholder.

Probably the best way to capture urban decay is to go into the buildings your shooting (even if they are closed/abandoned) nothing says urban decay than peeling paint, and boarded windows.
Try using black and white. Under Expose images.
