    UK vs USA
I am always shopping on Ebay and i came across two very good deals for some Canon DSLR's. The problem is they are UK spec. So whats the big deal, take the canon rebel xt(US) and the canon 350D(UK). Is it just marketing or are the spec actually different?

The only thing I'd worry about is the warranty and ability to get updated firmware. Where would you have to send it for service? The US Dollar is pretty weak, so you still might find better deals here.

    I'm in the UK
Currently given the state of the pound I'd be buying in the USA !

The only problem is the warranty.
The consumer products (I don't know if that includes the 5D) have country warranties.
It's supported and serviced where you bought it.

A bit of a problem if mine broke down while I was in the US on holiday, or in Europe at a race - but for the other 99.9% of their customers it's fine.

You should also consider the other deals.
Many of the rebate and other offers (like the PS CS2 upgrade for half price) are only available in the USA.
Another reason for me to need an address and bank account in the USA !
