    My new lens

My new lens, Greg sent me this gem today. It is the Sony 16-50 2.8 SSM. After a few test shots on the way home from picking it up, I have fallen in love with it. Inside it searches a little more than I want it to but outside it shines like a new dime. It is very well built and fits my a100 just fine. I really wish I would have had it for my prom pictures. For some reason the UPS delivered it to the fire house where I work and not to my house but it was a nice day for a ride on the motorcycle.

Excellent! The pet photos are great because fur is a great way to test real-world sharpness. And it doesn't hurt that your subjects are mighty cute

Please make sure to write a review for your new lens. We need more Sony lens reviews - lots more. In fact, we need more Sony reviews in general. Here's a link to the Sony DT 16-50mm f/2.8 35mm lens review page - I assume this is the same as the Sony 16-50mm SSM that you have:

Thanks in advance for your review!

    Hi Tyson:

Definitely looks like a "keeper" lens to me...

I'm trying to get the Sony CZ 16-80 lens, and was highly also,
    thinking/considering this lens too...

Thanks for sharing your photos, the insight, and your review...

    Congratulations Tyson!

Great shots - beautiful models! I love the 2nd cat photo - but all the photos are excellent.

You've got a winner there in that lens. I'm looking forward to more!
