    Quarry Jumping

Well around me at the turn of the century( 1900) this area was a big Granite Quarry area, there are at least a dozen abandon Qurries with in 2 miles, this is one of the larger ones , that is out in the middle of the woods and Kids on Hot summer days go there to swim and jump. The Police Hate , but have not found an effective way to stop it , so I took some photos

    Ker splash

    a Back flip

    Watch that first step

    Its a lulu !

this one is realy really nuts ! from the top they have to sprint and jump to get out far enough to clear all the rocks on the way down.

Feel free to edit my Pics to show me how to make them Better.

    Re: Quarry Jumping

I had an area where I grew up that was very similar, though wasn't a quarry, but was a river that had some deep gorges that we used to jump off of. It's funny, a lot of them were names after drinks (cooler, cider, wine bottle, beer bottle, etc.) Supposed you needed x amount of liquid courage to jump from each level

Ahhh, the days of youth.. Thanks for the reminder of the days of the past..

    BTW, love the pictures.
    Cheers,
    Greg
