The things you find at yard sales

I found this baby at a yard sale, it is headed down to Georgia to Greg. I was hoping to get it for around 10 buck but I had to give $20 for it. You can't really tell from the pictures but this thing is spotless. No scratches and it has the factory manual with it. Someone also wrote in the back of the manual. It sure is an ugly little thing.

I did load a roll of film in it, it is a roll of expired B&W I hope it works. I don't understand the exposure on it. I wanted to take a roll with it before I sent it to Greg. There is no light meter on it. the A ring moves with S ring so I guess the ylock together and its kind of preset?

Tyson, some of these older systems were designed for using exposure value settings instead of your regular separate manual settings. The thought was that you would use a meter to get the needed exposure value and then you would line up the shutter speed and aperture to equal the EV. Then these values would be locked together. That way you just turn the dial to change your aperture or shutter speed and the other would automatically change to coincide without changing your exposure. I looked up the manual for this. Take a look on page 9 and it will show you how to change it. Essentially, just push in the black button on the side of the lens by the Agfa symbol, then you can freely move the shutter speed dial.

It does have a light meter, the red numbers are the DIN numbers for setting the film speeds. You will have to look on the web for a cross reference table to ISO speeds. That is from the 50's if my memory is correct.

Wow, that is a Beautiful thing. Congrats on the spending of 20 bucks.

For as ugly as you call it, I think you might have gotten a steal on it.

After you figure out where the memory card goes, you might want to take the warranty card out and send it in ;)

    Amazing Find!

My first two cameras were Garage Sale finds, but nothing like the one you found, awesome just awesome.

I got BSG on DVD (New Series, seasons 2 and 3) at a garage sale on Saturday, I was happy.
