Your cat turning into a Terminator? It looks like a cats eye in the middle.

My first thought then is mercury, but Then I thought, This is a wombat photo, I bet it is some sort of motoring fluid. Nothing I can think of is the right colour though.

Re: that's nice - what is it?

First thought was very cold Vodka but since its not potable

    I have three possibilities
A rust inhibitor - I think it was called owtrol
Resin - as in fibreglass resin
or turps - paint brush cleaner

No matter what it is it looks good.

Re: that's nice - what is it?

The white spot just above the centre of the picture is the hole in the sump that leaked oil over the drive.
    It's only a pinhole, less than 0.5mm .

Our cat walked through the oil, came indoors, and left oil paw prints on our duvet.
I still have all my fingers, getting the oil off the cat's (well armed) claws was a challenge.
We find out the weather from the cat, a wetter-fur-cast when it starts raining.
Now I get advance warning of car problems without even going outside.
Is there no end to out cat's talent?

Good one - I thought it looked like clear liquid over a black background.

12 years of oxidised oil sludge, with an overlay of fresh Castrol Magnatec and purest rainwater.
