Thanksgiving cuties

I spent the holidays at my sister's house in Sonoma, Ca, which is beautiful this time of year. I took along with me my two daughters and one of their friends to Jack London State Historic Park for a little photo shoot. Hope you like.

Thanks for sharing Ray! The light is just fantastic. Mostly in the first 3. Are you burning the edges slightly. If yes, it really brings out the subject.

Nice series there, Ray. I like how you frame the photos with borders, really makes a lot of difference in presentation. Looks like it was really beautiful out there. Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving memories :D

Love 'em! I think the girl in the foreground of the first shot has an incredible, relaxed feel in front of the camera. I think that one's yours? If so, I'd keep that look and keep shooting!

I like your first set of 4 best, looks like it was a great day of shooting! And very cooperative models!

Thank you, everyone, I appreciate all of your input. All these photos were a lot of fun to do, even though it was somewhat cold outside when we shot them.

Seattle Jo - yes, I do do a lot of post processing. But because I know what I want to do it only takes me a few minutes to do it.

Rick, yes that is my oldest daughter who is 16. I could never get her to pose for me very well until she saw what I could do with her picture. Now she's very compliant because she knows how good I'll make her look. :)

Wonderful. But I would keep these gals under lock and key!!

However, the second picture in the first series I find a bit distracting. The sharpness of the jacket is to high as I find my eye directed to the coat's arm. Did you unsharp mask this in photoshop? Maybe you could use a different setting or go back with the history brush tool. If it was not sharpened, maybe you could dust it (the sharp coat edges) with the blur tool.

Great eye. I hope to see more work in the future.
