Thanks Sebastian, for pointing me to Luminous Landscape
Fabulous site. Especially the tutorial section-absolutely fantastic! Now if I can just decide on lurking here during my preciously little spare time or reading up and learning on the Luminous Landscape :D

    Hi Paul
Not doing much photography outside of work and weddings, but I still lurk on the site occasionally. How's the 1D/100-400 IS combo working? Sure do miss the speed of that camera. Maybe next year I'll pick up a 1DMkII, but lot's of things around the house to do first, pave the driveway, renovate the bathrooms, re-paint the house, etc., so the budget is spoken for. But if I get a string of great months at the office, well...Meanwhile, I'm forcing myself to maximize the somewhat limited capability of the G2. ;)

1D /100-400 has saved me $5k in film cost :) I went to AZ in august and returned with 13 gigs(deleted obvious junk)... that's about 100 rolls worth of ok + images at $10+each

the speed is OK, i like the flash sync and WIEGHT :)

    G2....no no no, you shoot a 10D/70-200IS :)

REMEMBER.. a camera is only a tool :) a good hammer doesn't pound the nail
