    T mount
Any thoughts on using a t-mount/telescope combo with digital? Anyone have experience?

The plan is to use it for moon and like shots.

People do this very thing DAILY for astro images and even wildlife via a spottingscope(digiscoping)

It can be done through adapters with P&S digis and a few ways with DSLR's(though I personally don't have any experience with this)

Actually come TUESDAY( or whenever he gets back online) SPEED (Robert McCabe) will reply with an in depth explanation on how he does it with a film body.

Depends on what kind of digital you're using.

If it's a DSLR, then you need a T-Ring (for your specific brand of camera) and a T-Adapter to attach it to a telescope. Here is a link that shows the setup: http://www.astrostuff.com/Photography_Accessories.htm

If you have a compact digital camera, then you will need an special adapter to fit you camera. There are several types on the market, and you can get whichever ones looks like it will work for you. If you have any questions, call the company, and they will be glad to answer your questions and help you out. I buy my astrophotography gear at Orion. Their website is: www.telescope.com

Look under Accessories, then Photographic Aids, and the Steadypix Universal Camera Mount should do the trick.

There are other companies out there that sell these accessories, such as www.celestron.com, and I've seen several variations on the theme. If you have any other questions, feel free to give me a shout, or PM me.

    Hope this helps.
