Sunday's outing

These are a few from Sunday night. I didn't have a lot of time and I didn't have my good tripod so these aren't great but I like them. If I get time I will go out again either this friday or sunday (the last night that the opera house will be lit up) and I will try to make the trek up to the observatory that is also being lit up. The landscape opera house is my first attempt at a hdr - well sort of, I used two exposures, one for the sails and one for the water and merged the two using the hdr settings in photoshop. I forgot to set the camera up for nightime (I normally boost the saturation through the roof and kill all contrast with the in camera settings. sure I probably would get better results in raw but I am happy with less time in photoshop. I also noticed that I am a chronic chimper - but I don't see this as a bad thing. my guesses on the exposure were slightly over but reciprocity failure doesn't really effect digital cameras that much I guess!
