Sunday Drive Cascades Hwy. Washinton State

Wife and I took a drive up and over the Cascades Hwy (Hwy 20) in Washington State on Sunday. Beautiful bright sunshine. Leaves are just starting to change color couple of more weeks and it will be fantastic. Hwy usually closes early winter and reopens in the spring.
A few shots of the drive

Nice stuff. Haven't been over the North Cascades highway in several years...keep telling myself to but its rather far for me. I always do Chinook pass at least once a year.

Great Blue Heron, maple trees starting to get color and a kayak - looks a lot like what I see here too, also not far from US Hwy 20 (just a couple thousand miles east). Gotta love the fall road trips.
