so I'm the proud owner - or not so proud at the moment - of a wide angle zoom
11-16 mm
I understand that to get better images of a wide angle the common suggestions are:
1. get close to the subject
2. shoot low or high, avoid eye level
3. hyper focus
4. compose compose compose
and I guess change from your usual subjects to something different ...
... and .... practice practice practice...
Here are some examples of what I have done so far ...
Manual focus f22... I do like the lines of brick mortar, could have stepped back a bit to catch the whole circle
This one I let the camera auto focus on anything it would like to, end of a long day,
not really aiming to get the guy's behind as the subject
kind of like this one, I would have liked to have an even more different perspective of the jeep , perhaps getting closer and even lower, to much harsh vegetation to really lay on the ground in front of an imminent moving vehicle
A very colorful sunset, but not really different to anything that can be done with other lenses, except perhaps the more intense light flare on this particular lens
tried a few photos of a carrousel, and did not check them immediately, only to find out all were blurry on the edges, where the speed of a moving object will be higher with this lens, I had 1/60 of a sec, which I tought would be more than enough for a carrousel, but did not considered the deformation of the image
any suggestions that I may not be considering?
Thanks in advance !
