    The Stevee Nix

Our Viewfinder moderator Another View has an alter ego as a member of a band called "The Stevee Nix." I got the chance to photograph them tonight. It was a blast, and they were very entertaining. Except for the bassist.

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

    Stevee Nix???

Steve. Steve. Nicky. Nick. I GET it!

I am curious, however, how many folks complain of false advertising when these guys show up instead of Ms. Nicks...

A day or two before a festival starts, TV news usually has the organizer on air for an interview. They read off the band names, etc and more than once the interviewer has asked about that. Worked well for us; everyone else got a mention but we got a conversation!

I've been looking for the right time to get Seb out here to do his magic and was a little disappointed that we had a "showmobile" (stage in a trailer which acoustically is like a beer can on wheels) instead of a "real" stage. Hey, it's a first-annual benefit and we were glad to help. We'll have to do this again next year too!

    AV,

Do you think the showmobile hurt the shots? I thought it could have been much worse.

    Re: The Stevee Nix

I don't think it helped, but honestly these shots still look great! We had some really nice, big stages at a couple of other festivals which might have been a little more "rock star" worthy (not saying I'm in that group, just wanted the pictures). I think band people get turned off by these stages mostly due to the acoustic problems with them.

Seriously, if anyone could make this happen it was you! Really do like the shots and can't wait to see the rest of them.

I nearly always like your take on the world Sebastian. This is one of the time I love it.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Rock they did. I kept trying to figure out what those bright artifacts on their faces were. Turns out the sweat was reflecting the lights.
