Thought I'd throw this out here.

Did this a few weeks ago on location at an old miltary fort. Its actually a pillbox/bunker that is almost completely buried under sand at this time, but there remains an obscure path to both entrances, one of which can be seen behind me.

I had a couple of Canon 580 EXll strobes. One shooting through a small softbox to light subject and another off in the back shooting through a red gel to the wall in back of me.

A vivtar 285HV shooting from the back to light side of subject and hair.
It was good fun till the wild dogs decided to come strolling through. . .

Really a great shot Gary, and I thought I was crazy just for carrying a warning sign around. Those shades are cool.

    Gary,

I don't think I ever miss a chance to view your images. They're always creative, unique and artistic. This is no exception.

    Great photo.
    Thanks.

Surreal! Gary great shot as usual.
This one has a very different mood of what I have seen in the SteamPunk series. This gets me the idea of something that came out from "Sin City" or something like that. Nice!

I have been loving the whole Steampunk series Gary. Sorry I've not commented more. Keep them coming, very innovative and thought provoking. Wish I'd get off my duff and do something creative like this.

Such creativity! ...and dedication -- fighting wild dogs for a photo op?!!

Great series. Interesting how the background has such a dramatic change from the right side to the left -- it works though, maybe because "you" provide a workable transition. My only nitpick would be a "hair" more space above your hair.

Thanks for commenting, oh and anyone who commented on this must be just as nuts as I am:D
More to come on this character. A friend of mine says it looks like a mix of Extraordinary Gentleman meets Dr. Who, and I thought that was hilarious but on the mark.

Yeah the dogs were coming through and then i turned to look at them, they looked up at me and my hair and took off. . .a useful prop it is.

I know this one well, Gary. But I forgot about the dogs! lol Crazy.

What makes this one for me is the expression. And the pose. I don't know what was behind those choices, but the end result is awesome. The lighting is great, too, as always.

Nice. Very cool shot. I guess my only input is maybe you should drop about 20 pounds. But what do I know?

Thank you Dray. Yep, a lot of takes but mainly because it tough to get the exact positioning and focus etc, when I'm not able to see whats going on in the viewfinder.

I was not quite tack sharp as some other takes, but this had more of everything that I needed from it including the pose as you mentioned.

Daq, I could stand to lose about 10-20, but if you can tell from this shot, I really gotta get on it. :)
