Nice. Very nice. You are so blessed to have the time and resources to go to these events. I'm a big Micheal Schumacher fan, maybe you could get some pics for me? :-)
Last year I looked into going to the US Grand Prix at Indianapolis, but the race tickets were about 1400 dollars each, and I'd have to bring the whole family, then add to that hotel and airfare, food, souvenirs....Just not feasible at my stage of life :-(
Thanks for sharing. Keep 'em coming. I love F1, just can't seem to get them televised at a decent hour here in the USA.

Cool Shots! And how cool is it to have Speed as your last name?

Actually, when I was in pilot training, there was a Captain whose last name was Speed. I hadn't thought about him in YEARS.

Thanks for the shots buddy! I really like them.

    ;-D

We did it for all days of the testing.
    Paddock access courtesy of:
Wednesday - Red Bull, the 'Pit Bulls' supporters club
Thursday - BMW WIlliams, the Mark Webber supporters club
Friday - no hospitality, just acess, the Jarno Trulli fan club

For the two of us, we spent £550 on the paddock hospitality.
But well worth it for us, as fans, to get access to the Williams and Red Bull GARAGES and into the Pit Lane.

Toyota are organising factory tours for fans through the rest of this year.
Red Bull are tlaking about European testing access; Barcelona, Valencia, maybe.

You'd need to plan it in with a longer holiday I suppose. Perhaps take in in le Mans 24h (this weekend) as well.

Seems like no-one is commenting on my posts over in Sports - so I take that as people just sitting back stunned :o Maybe my photos are good enough at last to think about selling/exhibiting some !

ps-I don't see a lot of comments in Sports either for some reason? I posted an obituary related item regarding the first staff photog for SI and it got some hits and last time I checked that was all.

We don't get SI over here.
Nor many of the sports he covered (well yes, there's Golf but we invented that).
So I really didn't have anythign sensible to say.

I will, but shall we do it over in the Sports section?
I'm considering that maybe I'm actually getting good enough at this to try to make money from it.
Just invested in a SIgma 80-400 for the le Mans 24h
