Someone just got the latest high-tech camera!
Well, hight tech if you lived back in the 1940's

My latest Ebay buy! Shutter is sticking open, so I'll be taking a trip to the camera shop to see if they can do anything, and how much it'll cost.

Buy hey, for $30 I figured it would be a good second camera to my vintage camera collection :D

did it come with a horse and buggy? LOL

But seriously, this is really neat. I love old cameras. Do they still make film for this thing? If so, would like to see how well it still takes pictures.

    Nice find!

From what I got off of the net, it takes 120 film. SO, in the event I can get it fixed at a low price, I plan on shooting off a few rolls with it for fun.

Nice catch there. looking forward to hearing more about the shooting experience and seeing samples.

Old cameras are nice to display even if you don't use them.

I can appreciate the find. I have a few similar cameras (below) plus a few that wouldn’t fit in the shot.

    Camera Repair
There used to be a camera repair shop on West San Carlos in San Jose, just past Bascom. He repaired two of my Mamiya lenses that had sticky shutters. He's an older guy who has a huge stash of vintage spare parts and knows how to fix the old stuff. He told me those old lenses have machine oil in the shutter blades that comes out after 20-30 years and makes them stick. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the shop. But check the phone book and see if there's a camera repair guy on West San Carlos. If there is, he's your man.

Would it be Kamera Korner that you're thinking of? They used to be at the corner of Bascom & Moorpark basically, and they've got a ton of old cameras. Thats my local camera shop.

Nope - it's strictly a repair shop and it's up the street and around the corner on San Carlos - just up the street from the BMW motorcycle dealer. And Kamera Korner is no longer your local shop. They've been closed for months

Nope, they just moved. They are now almost right across the street from University Arts off of Meridian. (At least I'm pretty sure its Meridian)

I'll have to go check out that other place though and see if its still around.
