    Some Recent Fall Photos

My wife and I have been doing some road trips..and the latest was the eastern sierras.

The weekend before we went to Carmel....it's been nice to be doing more shooting lately, especially with Karen. We had a great time this past weekend and plan to go back in a week.

If you can go see the fall colors...it's amazing.

Awesome Loren! I need to make some time to go hike up here and get some pics this weekend (especially since I live in the foothills of the Sierras-I have no excuse not to be hiking and getting pics). Thanks for sharing-I'm inspired to go get some pics.

Those are some excellent images, Loren. It reminds me of the color I saw up in Northern Wisconsin yesterday.

    Inspiration

Thanks for the preview, Loren. I'm going to Tahoe on the last weekend of the month and I'm hoping we'll still have some color in the aspens. If not, it will still be nice. But I hope we get lucky.

I really like the second and fourth images. The last one is especially nice. I love the Eastern Sierra. I would love to live in or near Bishop. It's a pretty remote place to commit to, though.

    Hi Leon,

I am glad that you liked the photos and could motivate you to take some photos of the area that you live in. I'm looking to be closer to the mountains someday....

If you do go out this weekend, I would look forward to seeing your photos.

    Thank OT...

I don't post as much anymore, but it was nice to share my photo experience that I had with my wife. We missed the colors last year.

btw..I really liked your football photo too. The sense of feeling and place was a perfect shot.

    Hi Sean....

Did you take any photos of the fall colors? If so please post because I loved Wisconsin when I was there and thought it was very photogenic.

Thanks for the comments and hope to see your photos too.

Thanks Speed....coming from a Nikon shooter to comment on my lowly Canon EOS3 that is a true compliment. Seriously though...thanks for the comments buddy.

    Re: Inspiration

Karen and I have thought about moving out there too, but it is very remote. Although I do love Mammoth Lakes and I would love to ride my road bike out there for some great training.

We may be in Tahoe on the last weekend too....hopefully the weather will hold.

You will be happy to know that the last photo was taken with Velvia 100 that you gave me. I really like it, and in comparison with the Vevia 50 on the top three it was easier to scan and less grain.

Just stopped in to say...Great photos! I live on the eastern side of the sierra's. The colors on this side looking up there...it does look nice. The weather should be holding out until at least the end of the month. No storms in sight, really. I will be hopping the hill next week and am planning on making some stops on the way. Your pictures just made me realize what I was missing....and I'm only about 30 minutes away from it.

Your using V100, it needs to be reviewed http://www.photographyreview.com/cat...3_3118crx.aspx, and think about it you would be the first!
