    I need a reptile ID fast!

    What's this guy?! He seems to be trapped in some sort of shell! I can't seem to get him out! Where's my reptile identifiers?! HELP HELP HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    eastern box turtle

    taking ONE from it's habitat can WIPE OUT the population

    they lay very few eggs and a small percentage live to breeding age

    solitary and walk aimlessly throughout it's "range"in search of a mate in spring ;)

    DEATH TO ALL WHO REMOVE THEM FROM NATURE!!!!!!!!

    BTW.....I found 3 already(but I know where to look)

    That I didn't take a canopener to its shell to get 'em out!

    ... or...

    That I saved him (it) from a window well he (she) had gotten into. Probably never to get out again. I set him (it) free, home, home on the range.
