    Memorial

Community member, friend, and Lowepro employee, Maury, recently lost his fiancee in an accident. She was killed by a truck while riding her bike, a couple of weeks ago. I went up and did a mountain bike ride with him this past weekend. It's very sad, humbling, and a reminder to appreciate every moment we have with the ones we love.

Here's a link to a post Maury made on our roadbike Web site: http://forums.roadbikereview.com/sho...43485#poststop

Please keep your eyes open for cyclists on the road. They all have people who love them and will miss them if they're gone.

Here are a few photos from our ride. Exercise is good. It empties the mind. And being in such a grand landscape helps puts things in perspective. At least it did for me.

    Hey John,

I send my thoughts to Maury. It's so tragic to lose somebody from a preventable accident.

I agree with your message about cherishing every moment, and to make room on the road for cyclist and runners. I've lost too many friends also from errant drivers.
