    Some Flowers

My parents had a big dinner party this evening that I wasn't very keen on attending, so I took the truck and went out to find something worth pointing my lens at. We just recently moved, and I knew that on of my old neighbors had some lilies in her front yard so I swung by and shot them up...lol

Here are a few of the shots I got. I want to give her an 8x10 print of the best one. Which would you give her?

As always, comments and crits are very welcome

    Almo,

Number three for me, yet they all seemed tightly cropped too much for me. I like the ant though, nice touch, and the colors are good.

#3 got my vote as well Almo. I like the rain drops in #1, and the ant in #2, but I like the composition of #3 the best.

Nice images. I'd go with #3 as the others have said. I like the composition the best in this one.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I really like option #5 - Forget it, they all suck!

    Hehehe!

BUT, I voted for number one. That shot really rocks! I love how the colors jump out at you.

    Hey, you asked...;-)

    Re: Some Flowers

    Almo,

My choice would be #1 and thats what I indicated via the poll. The third image is a close second. The other two the frame cuts them wrong or the flower placement doesn't work for me quite as well.

The bokeh in the first image is much better than the others, more vivid and complimentary and not so muddy. The rain (and don't worry about cliche's or the like in this case) drops combined with the purple make this picture the only one of the four that for me ' pops '.

Will be interested to see which one you finally choose and what the poll says!

I went with number one. I think the colors are great, the drops of water add a nice touch, and overall I think it is a better composition than the others. Thanks for sharing.

    Re: Some Flowers

#3 is the best composition in my opinion and the one I think "regular" non photographers will like best. But a square format might make it look even better.
