So I went mountian biking this weekend,
and fell off a cliff. (a small one) on the way down I landed on my back, my camera protected me. Getting up I took it out of my pack, it had a nice dent on the lense cover, which thankfully is metal, I turned it on the LCD was spinning and it turned off.

I was bumbed. a few minutes later I tried it again and all worked fine. I dodged that one.

I took these before the fall, but hadn't downloaded them yet. I thought the S45 was tough, now I know that it is.

Thanks. I wish the shot in Sedona (red) had the rider a little higher and
either more motional blur or none at all.

I'm fine. I have a small bruise on my hip and that's really it. I jumped up laughing, then thought about my camera.

I had protection on my arms, and manged to not hit my head at all. So it was a "good" fall.

    ...and fell off a cliff.
Don't you just hate when that happens? lol

I'm glad the camera sorted itself out and you weren't seriously hurt. Great color in the last pic, btw.

Glad to hear you and your camera survived!
I'll trade you a signed copy of "Dirt Rag" for a signed copy of "Mountain Biking".

Great shots Brian, I like the first one the best. Good thing your camera is fine. I hardly protect mine in my camelbak, and Ill be crushed if I ever break it. I cant wait until this summer to shoot in the desert again.

How about we throw in an 8x10 of the published picture so we can frame it. BTW, I'll let you pick which issue you want. there is a good chance (I hope) that I'll have a paying gig in the May Issue (24h race coverage).

private message me and we can trade emails.

Hey Brian! What's happening? It's good to see you're still getting around doing a lot of mountain biking. Too bad I didn't know you were going to Sedona. My brother lives there and is a decent mtb'er and could have shown you around. Not that it doesn't look like you did OK on your own.

I'm still slowly making progress. I'm starting to notice the tourists I'm riding with nowadays sitting on my wheel instead of me on theirs! Unfortunately I'm not back to the pound fest group. Nor do I think I'll be there for a while.

Anyway, It's good to see you posting. I have some recent shots from white sands I did this weekend. I've been thinking about posting them (all 5 or 6 I took). But I don't think they're blurry or cropped enough for this crowd 8-\

    Save Otero!

    Ha!
post them. I wnat to see them.

I'm doing well, but looking for a job. My current job ends this august so I'm scrambling a bit. and dreading the thought of leaving NM.

when you do get fully healthy, we should do a ride again. Or maybe we should do it now, I might be able to keep up. =)
