Hey, I'm in the north and praying for snow this weekend.
Love the smile on the boy in the green coat with the snowman.
    Hope you enjoyed it!

We saw pictures of Atlanta on the news - bit of a shock. When was the last time they had snow like that in Georgia?

    Cheers,

We get a good snow in the South about once every 8 years or so. So it's unusual, but not necessarily rare. It's just that for us down here, the conditions have to set up *just right* for us to get a good snow fall. Normally the jetstream from the North pushes down cold air, but at the same time it pushes out any line of moisture coming off the Gulf of Mexico. But every once in a while we'll get a shot of cold air combined with one of those moisture bands and boom, we get snow!

But as Lori said, it rarely stays around long. We had around 3" in the morning, but by 3pm it was completely melted in all but the best shaded spots. And 7 days later, it was 75, sunny, and breezy!

Lori - great shots! That snowman is HUGE!
