    Just got a new lens

The Nikkor 50mm/1.8 sits in front of me as I type. Still in the box, and I can't wait to use it.
It isn't much, but being retired and having limited resources it's nice to have nonetheless.

Sure it is, one of the sharpest and fastest lenses out there. Enjoy!

    Congratulations John!

I have the Nikkor 50mm f1.4 and I love it. I'm sure you're going to love your f1.8 just as much.

The 50mm/f1.8 is one of Canon's excellent lenses. It has a GREAT reputation. I used to own one, and it never let me down. It's sharp, good color and great in low light situations. I look forward to seeing some of your images.

That's a nice lens. I'm a little gear crazy and have bought and sold many, many lenses and the 50mm 1.8 is right up there as one of the sharpest. You can make some pretty neat portraits at 1.8., too.
