Oh Larry...she did this just for ME. So that she can teach ME how to do it. Her personal lesson will be coming as soon as she finishes dinner (the things I go through for you) dana
P.S. I have never had such a tuff time posting to any thread.

I got faith in you Dana. You can do it and with Cathy by your side there isn't anything you can't do. Once I get you posting over here you'll be the Queen of PR no doubt in my mind.

Larry....you will never know what torture this Yo woman has just put me through to get this dumb picture posted. First the picture is too large (even tho its the same one thats in the gallery)....does this mean I have to reduce anything I post in a forum down smaller then I already have it? This may be my last trip into the "dark side" ..and it may not be..lol. Thanks for pushing me Larry...you have been so great with the encouragment.

P.S. thanks so much Cathy for hanging in there with me.

    LOL!

Thats just what parents DON'T Want!

    My parents, at least.

The Puppy would be fine with me, but I would never give a kid that much caffeine.

I can't remember who, but somebody on here took this picture. I remember seeing it in a thread and saved it.

Welcome to the "Dark Side" Dana!!! That is a great sign!!!

Since you are a regular poster to the gallery, you can link your photos right from your gallery to your posts in the Forums. I don't know how large the files are that you post in the gallery but it's really easy to link them to the fourm once you do it once or twice.

Considering our privacy laws, I thought this sign was funny...taken from a Main Street sidewalk.

Actually, this is not really that weird, as there are places where you can turn left on red. One way onto one way comes to mind. Also, many think they can turn left on a red arrow, when the regular light is green...

Keep in mind a lot of these signs are not really directed at the driver, but rather so the cops can prove they were in violation in court...

Not sure if the Pizza sign counts but it just shows the Welsh sense of humor.

The second sign is in Weymouth and is pretty obvious.

How does a semi-illiterate get a job designing signs? There is no apostrophe in "Areas"

This is a great one, Dana! And a scary thought.

About posting images on the forum - you are correct. The limits are different on the forum. That's to keep the thread load times down and keep the threads formatted correctly. The gallery actually doesn't have any limits (that anyone will notice, anyway). The gallery and forum serve two different purposes and hence the differences. If I plan to post something on the forum, I size it accordingly. If I want a larger version in the gallery, I use the edit link in the gallery to replace the smaller image with the larger version.

Hope that clears things up for you.

    S/W

in the inimitable words of basil fawlty..

"you have a masterful grasp of the bleedin' obvious."

there was another photo/sign that we had doing the rounds during katrina.

bunch of rednecks in full hunting gear in a swamp boat. sign said "you loot. we shoot."

also connected with katirna when everyone asks me if i was here during katrina (actually i have been here 30 years) i say yes.

and in fact we helped out a lot. we sent 2 plane loads of scallies to help with the looting..

oh well, i'll get me coat.
