Shots From My 25mm and Rangefinder - SLC Library...
These are from my second roll with my rangefinder, I used the 25mm lens with al of them.
I went down to the Salt Lake City Library a while ago, because it's a great place and I just like hanging out there too.
I'd love to hear what you think.
Thanks!
Brian
This first photograph is of its North face, I love these windows.

What an impressive looking building. I like the 1st and 2nd shots alot, especially the 2nd. great framing, contrast, exposure, sharpness. . . .got it all going on. The third is a little too busy and could use a crop from the right. Looks like your really getting on well with the new Bessy. . .
Great stuff, Brian

All right, Brian! Nice shots! I pretty much agree with everything Gary said. The 1st and 2nd are great and the 2nd is my favorite. I really like that shot! 3rd one is cool too. In the first one I like how both the exterior and interior are exposed well. Perfect lighting for that. What kind of film did you use? I don't see much grain for Tri-X.

The second one drew me in too - the shadows at the bottom steps of the first flight of stairs and the black coat look great. I know that's a wierd critique, but it has to do with the way the steps get darker from top to bottom...

Here is another that was on this same roll.
It's from a recent trip to Gooseberry Mesa, here in Utah...

As I said in the gallery #2 is the winner for me but they all are worthy of the Bessy. As an old timer to this game I love the look and feel of these images. They make me yearn for days past. I might even dip my toes back into that water if digital wasn't so darned convenient.

Brian,
Those are great windows. I could play all day shooting these for interiors. Even though the contrast is striking in the second shot, the third one I feel better portrays what that lens is able to achieve.
Particularly good use of the people to show that important interaction of architecture with its occupants.
Cool mountain bike shot as well!
