Shooting for fun, it's been a while...
It's a good feeling to be able to say that most of my shooting lately has been for money, but it's also very refreshing to be able to go out and shoot for the love of it. Not that I've been doing a lot of it, just that I've only made time for paid gigs.

Tuesday night I neglected several chores and went to a nearby suburb, St. Charles. For a very wealthy town it sure is run-down and DEAD empty on a tuesday evening around 7pm.

    Interesting.....
I enjoyed viewing this series of images. The town sure is looking rather lifeless. It made me wonder who lives there, and what their interests could possibly be. I've driven and walked a bit around downtown Paterson (NJ) and the loved the images I managed to get. They weren't great technically, but they told a story. I like doing this type of photography - and you just inspired me.

    Nice series

One question: Are those 2 "black spots" (for want of a better description - old eyes I guess) on/by the moon birds? Paul would like to know! :p

All those wealthy folks are home watching satelite TV on their big screens.

    Nice series Seb. Gorgeous lighting.

And I'm with Liz, what's with the black specks on/by the moon?

I'm pretty sure they were out getting their Vipers and Hummers polished, those two cars seem to be the official St. Charles transportation...

Anyway, the spots are birds. Thanks for all the kind words guys, it was nice to just unwind for a night.

Sometimes you just need a night to go out and shoot whatever you feel like shooting. The thing that I notice is that whatever you post (this time and others) here has a nice quality and direction of light to it.

    STeve,

Thanks, I never noticed that. I wonder if it's due to having to shoot available light for papers. I might actually be learning something. :D

    The moon and roof...
I'm glad you went out to shoot just for the sake of shooting!
I can see it did you some good.
My favorite image here is the one of the moon with the red roof. It has a great graphic appeal.
    Thanks for sharring these Seb.
