Which sequence would look better?
I plan on buying rectangular frame that holds 3 8x10's vertically. I am wondering which of these combos do you think would look better. Ok here is the first option....top to bottom in order they would appear in the frame

Re: Which sequence would look better?
Or this sequence. I prefer the first set, but it seems pic 1 and 2 might blend into each other too much even though they will be separated in the frame. This middle pic just adds a different touch, same area just not inside the "canyon"
Which do you think would look better? I am thinking in a dark frame, possibly with mounting but maybe not. I have the prints already made and they look great!
Thanks for any input
Re: Which sequence would look better?
IMO the first one is better. Nice pics BTW.
The water is a tad soft for my taste on pic 2, but great shots no doubt.

Or actually, maybe this is the winner. All from the same canyon, the middle pic will break up the "tree" shots slightly but still having all the colors of the canyon that the other 2 have
(btw this is for a xmas gift for my mom, hence wanting it to look good)

My preference would be this sequence but substituting your #3 with the close-up of the rocks you have in your first series. My reaction is this: The green trees at the top grab my attention, the second is a view that draws me closer so I focus on and enjoy the colors and scene even more, and by ending with a still more intimate view of the rocks and water, I'm left with a sense of tranquility, in part, because of the softness of the water.
Whatever you decide, your mom will love it -- of this I am sure. We mamas like it when our children so thoughtfully give a "piece of themselves."
Beautiful series!

Thanks Paula, so it sounds exactly like what Jim was suggesting? Just phrasing it a different way
EDIT: That is not exactly what Jim had suggested. Nevermind. Both good suggestions though!
Re: Which sequence would look better?
Why is this in the Photo Project forum? The Photo Project is a monthly "assignment" chosen by the community. Unless these photos are part of the Photo Project, this thread should be somewhere else. Help Files or ViewFinder would probably be the best fit. Let me know if and where you want me to move the thread.
Re: Which sequence would look better?
Just make up 3 or 4 sets and she can have different ones in different rooms.
Yes, let me or PJ know where you'd like it and we will move it.
Would probably get most views and responses in Viewfinder.
Re: Which sequence would look better?
ahh sorry John. I didnt realize what the exact definition of this forum was. I saw "Photo Project" and I thought that meant any "projects" you were working on at the time, looking for input and advice etc etc.
Feel free to move it where you think it would be more appropriate
Re: Which sequence would look better?
Well, I'm not pj but I'm moving to viewfinder where I think it will get most views and responses and my real name does happen to be John also.

Thank you, John :)
Re: Which sequence would look better?
Well? So what did you decide?
