Yeah we knew this :D j/k

Well thats cool that you shoot to heal yourself. And that you can be vulnerable in front of the camera and then post it up here as well tells us that you have integrity too :)

I do them when I'm depressed, too, but then I get more depressed.

    I miss my youth. :(

I haven't been around lately, but I have been shooting. Weddings, high school graduations, and family shots.

Here are a couple of self portraits taken during a training exercise we did. These were taken with a co-worker's camera, and she cropped them (I don't care for the crop and I've asked her for the original file), but I did take them, so they are my photo's and they are self-portraits.

Adina, I'm as old as dirt, you really don't want to see a self-portrait of me - LOL :D

...besides I don't do people usually and am unclear as to how to do a self-portrait.

    Cheers,

Okay, I shot one in my bathroom! Mind you, my camera has corrupt software so half of the menus are missing. argh. But it still shoots okay - just no auto! So this is me in my bathroom, next to a window in front of my shower curtain - and i was aiming at the mirror!

That is a beautiful picture. I think a lot of photographer are a little camera shy themselves. In your case I sure don't know why. Love those saturated reds in this one.
