Re: Self Portrait thread
Nice shot Greg, my attempt at a self-portrait in one of these things didn't turn out very well (of course I don't have your talent and your camera)

Re: Self Portrait thread
I'm going to break the convention a bit and post a full video. It was primarily shot with the T2i and 50mm f/1.8. The "self" part of the portrait is at 2:05, I'm the guy with the big grin.

This was the video shot the same day I did the bands group portrait, some of you may remember.
Great self-portraits going here. I'll see if I can come up with something more conventional.

Such a short Camo. But cool video. I'm impressed.

Taken a couple of years ago. I had a one-woman art show coming up in a local gallery and a friend offered to write an article for the local paper, but he wanted a picture and didn't have his camera with him, so I set up the tripod at home and took about 30+ shots before I got one I was reasonably happy with.

Well done! Thanks for sharing it with us :)

Re: Self Portrait thread
Very impressive to have been shot with a T2i. Love the editing.... Since you did make a very short appearance a guess will have to give you self portrait status on this one. Thanks for sharing, love to get different ideas and inspiration. Going to have to explore the video capabilities of my D7000.

OK, playing around yesterday and thought I'd get a few shots with the beard before I take it off, 3 weeks of growth, great not shaving in the morning, too much Grey (Gray) lol...

Re: Self Portrait thread
I think every man should have a beard, so it works for me Peter. Keep it, unless your wife can't stand the sight of it.

I have a few black permanent Sharpie markers I could send you! :D:D Jeff

Be sure to tally my vote in there. BTW....the grey is a PLUS..not a minus.

Tripod, self-timer, Bam! It struck me just now as I was looking at this how much work I would have had to do just two cameras ago. Meter the natural light, find an f-stop compatible with the right amount of fill flash (based on the flash unit's guide number,) hope that that f-stop didn't take your shutter faster than the sync speed, and then install the mechanical clockwork timer into the shutter release screw hole.
Nowadays, turn on flash, turn on camera, set matrix metering, 10-second delay, done!
I really really wish I'd though to tape over that reflector, though!
