To see why I'm pissed, look here---->
Well, I'm back from my flight from the storm. Ended up in Atlanta and took some decent pics there. Here are a few for your viewing pleasure ( or torture). :) Here's my big problem..I forgot to turn off the date when I did an inventory of my belongings before the storm. Of course it has to show up in bright red, right on difficult spots to clone. Any suggestions of a different way to get rid of it? Thanks guys and I missed you.

Re: To see why I'm pissed, look here---->
Shesells, i really really like the last one! About the date, looks like the clone tool and the eye dropper/ pencil tool are gonna be your BEST friends! lol... I just zoom all the way in, all that it will go and clone what i can with a round tool , then the edges, I take the dropper, pick a color near it, and use the pencil to do it pixel by pixel..
happy Cloning!!!
p.s. how did your area fair in the nasty hurricane? I hope not too much damage..

Re: To see why I'm pissed, look here---->
The clone tool is your friend! :D
I think your first and fourth shots are really good but the fourth would probably take the most time to clone. Second one would just take a few clicks (you don't necessarily have to keep the clouds exactly as they are to still make it look natural). To get that detail in the fence on the last shot, you'll probably have an easier time blowing it up to 3-400% to see it. It will take time, but you'll probably never do it again! I've never done this, but learned other lessons the hard way...
With a father and father-in-law in Florida on opposite coasts, we've heard a lot of stories. Hope you've been OK.

Rachel: I honestly never thought of using the pencil. Good idea! It's that pixel by pixel idea that makes me cry! ugh.. I'll give it a try though, I really have no choice. Thanks for taking the time to help and I'm glad you like my last pic. My tripod broke, so I was using my monopod in a very awkward position. lol use your imagination.
Another View: You're enjoying this just a l i t t le b i t too much! heh :::grumble grumble:::I dont like clone friends:::
hmm, I don't usually blow things up past 100% but why not? Another good idea! Yeah, that pic with the fence will be a mind bender to clone..that and the other 50 shots not shown here! omg, I'm making myself sick. You're right, I will never ever ever do it again. I did have a good excuse though.
Thank you both for asking if I made out ok with the hurricanes. My house was barely damaged, I think it's in a sweet spot. I took off to Tampa, not knowing that it would come there, then Atlanta and there it comes. Just kept heading north, then west..lol Wasn't exactly a restful trip, also worrying about what I would find when I got home.

Yeah there is something about us!
hehe
We all get way to drunk then do the stupidest things imaginable!!
Why dont you get drunk and try to fix them!
Then when you cant get out of bed in the morning you can look at them and see if you did a good job?
or if you just kinda smudged everything out and made a big mess!
would be funny!
oh and make sure you have back up files so u can go back to those and not be worried you stuffed them forever!

Cloning these out would be a cinch! At least the ones you posted here. Nice shots.

Hodgy!!
what the??? Don't tell me that's an action you made! Is it in the pack I bought? lol Dang, how did you do it that fast? I'm so serious, I thought it would take a month to do them all. Please come back and tell me your method.

Re: To see why I'm pissed, look here---->
When using the clone tool I try and follow lines of colour. Also, try and keep the cloning point as close as possible to the cloning area. This ensures a resonable colour match.

Re: To see why I'm pissed, look here---->
Exaclty what Bouk said. I used the clone stamp on all. Grab your source closest to the spot that you are cloning out.

Hodgy and Bouk:
Hodgy: Thank you so much for spending the time doing that. Gee, I was hoping it was an action lol. No such luck. Well at least it showed me that it is possible without ruining the shot.
Bouk: What do you actually mean by " follow lines of color"? Would you mind pretending I'm a 5 year old and explaining? lol Thank you so much for your help.

I would guess that they mean that you'd brush vertically in the detail just above because the lines are vertical. Select a spot near where you are going to use the clone tool that is the same color that you need. Then (here, at least) by brushing vertically you'll fix the problem pretty easily. Fortunately, the part to clone out and the "pattern" in the background are both vertical, just like the fence in the other shot. In a horizontal area, it will just take a smaller brush and a couple more clicks.
It's not that bad, really! Just use a small brush, the adjustments are on a toolbar at the top. You might get lucky and be able to use a brush that's as wide as the letters in the date in this shot, but in the fence shot you'll probably have to get it really narrow and make a few passes (picking different colors to clone from because the letters cover both the fence and the area behind it).

Re: To see why I'm pissed, look here---->
All good advice, and I want to add that if you miss up, just hit ctrl z to undo ( you probably already know that :) and make use of the align checkbox - uncheck it if you just want to keep pulling from your first area that you selected to copy. This will really help you on straight edges, like the rail...

Sorry it took me so long to reply..
I was having major computer problems today associated with trying to install XP service pack 2. Finally went into safe mode and did a system restore. anyway...
Jezz: lol, that isnt exactly what I meant. heh more like their rugged good looks. Don't say too much, you will ruin my fantasy. lol
Another view: Thanks for clearing that up for me. I think you're right. I'll give it a try and we will see. I'm sure I can do it since here is proof positive that it can be done. I appreciate the advice and will follow it exactly.
Speed: um, yes it was incredible work by Hodgy, but what about my work taking them?? huh?? well?? hmpf!
Clicker: align checkbox? Now that's a new one. As long as I've used photoshop, i never knew about that. Are you sure It's not just in Elements that you use? NM, don't bother to answer, I'm going to check it right now. Thank you for always giving good advice.
