    SanDisk sale, REAL DISSAPOINTMENT
I received an email advertising a big Memorial Day blow out sale with up to 75% off from SanDisk. I looked at the SD cards and the fastest card that I could find was a 20mb speed card. All the cards were class 2 or 4 cards. This was a big blow out sale on absolutely nothing that I wanted to buy. I wanted to purchase a few 30mb speed cards but none were offered. You would think that a company such as SanDisk would offer some faster cards to accommodate the photographers that would like to purchase them to get te most out of their equipment. I am very disappointed in the concern SanDisk has for their customers.
I am now done with my rant. :mad2::mad2: Jeff

Perhaps they just wanted a way to blow out their older merchandise.

That's the same thing I was thinking. Get rid of all the unwanted stuff, Jeff

I did send them an Email and voiced my opinion of the sale.:thumbsup:

20MB is fine by me, lol. I don't do burst shooting, And I don't mind waiting 50% more time (~1.5 - 2 minutes) for the entire ~4 GB to transfer. I buy memory that's reliable first, cheap second, and fast third.

I do notice sometimes I would like faster cards, especially when shooting action using RAW settings. I only get 2-3 shots off before my card starts buffering and my camera slows down, hence causing me to miss some really nice shots.
But I have to agree with Anbesol...Reliable, Cheap, then FAST!!! I have a 256 SD card that I bought about 6-7 years ago that is still my old reliable backup card. Funny thing...I paid more for it than I have any other card since...hehe

I'm sort of hijacking the thread but hoping newby status will give me a pass but SanDisk makes the Sony Memory stick and curious if anyone would know what is the largest Memory Stick Pro that will work with my DSC F717?

I posted this in another thread but I just purchased three 16GB class 10 SD cards with 30mb speed from B&H camera for $32.49ea. with free shipping. One was $48.95 and if you purchased two or more the price dropped to the $32.49 ea. price.
You may want to pick up a few, Jeff

Same here, I never use the video on my D3s, D90 & D5000, I use my cameras for stills and don't need a Supersonic mem card :D

The biggest one I used in my DSC F717 was 2gb, I sold my Sony DSC F717 after 2 years of uses :D

The right chip makes all the difference. I tried a Garage Sale chip in mine and it was a dog.
