    A sad day
I have not used my film camera (N90s) in about 3-4 years - it has been on my shelf waiting for me to pick it up and use it.

Well I sold it last week and it made me kind of sad. I am completely digital (as soon as I can unload my Mamiya 645AFD and some lenses - but I haven't used it in about 2 years).

There were lots of memories captured with that and I can remember the anticipation of getting the prints back a few days later.

Oh well, at least I have the albums to remind me!

    thanks,
    Wes

It can be a sad and exciting time at the same time.

I can relate. Although I kept a few film pieces just in case. Other than a test roll I shot, I haven't used film in a long time. Haven't used my darkroom a lot longer than that.

I think I'll always keep the film cameras I have left to remind me of how things were, and can still be if I want it to be.

Yes, you have the albums and many new memories that will be digital. I'm sure it is sad.

It's weird because I never really noticed when I quit shooting film. It's been years.

I was a little sad when I sold my F100 too, partially because of the "end of an era" but also because it went for 1/3 of what I bought it for... :) Hadn't used it for quite a while when I sold it and hopefully it's getting some use by the current owner.

Ooo, ooo, ooo... ::JUMPS UP AND DOWN WAVING HANDS::

Send all unwanted "dust collectors" this way. I'll give them a good home and clean the dust off 'em :D:D:D

April 2004 was when I shoot my last roll of film. The day the D70 arrived was the last time I shoot anything but digital. I have 6 Nikon film cameras that I have basically but into moth balls. No I didn't even think about selling them, they are members of the family.

I will probably put the Mamiya stuff up to a local camera shops ebay store - They ususally get pretty good response!

I sorta felt the same way, but I should have mentioned I got a Nikon 17-55 in return - not a bad trade I think!

    Thanks OT,
