    Bike, Blues & BBQ?

Hey Chunk, I'm curious if you're headed to BB&BBQ? I know it's going to be here in Fayetteville this week. Supposed to have upwards of 250,000 bikers descend on us this weekend. The discovery channel will be filming a segment of Biker Build-off during the festivities also.

I'm hoping to be able to make it down to the main drag to get lots of photos!

    Wink Dude...You're old!

Fortunately, I must live a charmed life. Multi-vitamins and the occasional Tylenol are all I need for now. Although I'm not a youngster any longer, I can identify with shoulder and back problems, my aches and pains are tolerable without meds.

To paraphrase Cheech and Chong: "I don' need no stinkin' enhancements!"

Hmmm, now you're wondering how I know? Because as I've gotten older, I've slowed down. Recharge time takes longer. And the wife likes seconds every now and then. So I got some samples. My observations.

Levitra works. Does exactly what it says it does. I'd have to give it a 10.

Viagra works like it's on steroids! It's an 11 on a ten point scale.

Cialis is works like Viagra that's been turbo charged. It rates a 12!

Now, here's a little secret for you. Ginseng and Gingko Biloba. I started taking those one week ago, and I may never take another prescription pill again! I still have some of the samples left, and I don't anticipate ever needing to take them. Trust me, this stuff works!

Here in Alberta, my friends and I have been talking about poor Florida, and how good we have it here, natural disaster-wise! Sure, shoveling is hard work and snow is bad for the commute to work, but it is great for sledding, downhill and cross country skiing, making snow men, pretty puictures....

Hang in there, the hurricanes have to stop sooner or later!

Since I've started taking Cialis, I'm late to work, early getting home and haven't read the newspaper in God knows when.

Regarding taking natural supplements, if they work for you, great. They did NOTHING for me. I've taken ginseng and ginko for years. I was also taking massive amounts of Maca (also known as horney goat weed) and that did nothing. I'm late to work, early getting home and haven't read the newspaper in God knows when.

Yee haa! You are NEVER too old for good old fashioned marital relations! And I can't think of a better reason to be late to work. ;-)

The ginsend and gingko are working for me. Guess my body chemistry works with them. Whatever, I'm not complaining.

    Never say never

Hey Gene! Yah, I've been lucky so far. I've only had a couple of broken bones, a little bit of back trouble, avoiding jaw surgery with some ortho work. I'm only 40 but I know lots of people my age that look, and act, a lot older! I guess part of it's genes, part of it's been having to stay in shape because I'm still in the military and a lot of luck!

Like you, I try to "never say never". Every time I do it seems to come back to haunt me! I figure a guy's got to do what a guy's got to do. But Speed brought his problems on himself by marrying a Young Hottie! Practically stole her from her high school graduation! No mercy for him!.

I have to be careful what I say because everytime I say something unwavering and resolute like "I'll never need that stuff," it always comes back to bite me in the butt. Of course, I will be 60 years old in a couple of years. ;)

I hope you can "keep up" living the charmed life for the rest of your life. For the rest of us, THANK GOD, there's Cialis, Viagra and Levitra.

Ahh... so THAT'S what Cialis is for! I keep getting tons of spam from people wanting to sell me a bucket of the stuff cheaper than anyone else. Let me know if I can forward these on to anyone...

    Only users lose drugs.

I am scot-free, for the moment I haven't really taken much of anything (read: anything) since I was in high school - I never smoked pot, no alcohol for the past 7 (!) years... and I've only taken one pain pill for the last several years on the ocassion I threw my back out lifting something heavy in the morning (cold muscles tear easily) No aspirin, no tylenol, no cough medicine, no nothing.

Sugar, Sex, and Sunshine... my drugs of choice

I'm not rubbing it in for anybody. I've known, loved and worked for people who have had chronic pain (I've worked in a nursing home as a massage therapist and done attendant care for a quadraplege.) But I decided long ago to battle sickness and pain with my mind, and I have been exceptionally sucessful over the years. Like I say, I've taken one pain pill once in the last 10 or so years. Of course not everybody is on a path where they can survive without meds. Yet I do know how powerful the mind is and how it can create or heal many of the illnesses we have - or imagine we have - when properly trained to do so. That, and the human body's ability to heal itself even from cancers has proven inspirational to me time and time again. I'd like to collect as many stories as I can about people who have been healed without traditional medicines and post it so that others may have hope I truly feel that with proper mental exercises people really could live "pain free."

Again, I by no means wish to belittle anybody's pain. I know pain (and I'm talking inner pain here, too, people) well enough that I dare not taunt it. But... I dunno, just food for thought I suppose.

Deepak Chopra has done some interesting research with age, illness, and the effect your mindset and attitude have on both those things. You may be surprised by what you can do for you

Just food for thought. Every-body live well!

What are you reading in to it? I just meant it's been (continuing to be) crazy around here, and a pun with rhythm being fast; life moving fast - that's all. I have an odd sense of humor if you haven't noticed...!

    Re: Rythm of Life

Here's one of the things I've been busy with lately - a new band. I haven't done much playing since this spring so I need to get back in shape, so to speak! We've had one practice but have an opener for a pretty well known local band at the end of October... We'll be ready?!

    No health insurance...

    Me too!

I've got a chronically crappy back, my left ankle has some sort of weird tear/spur combination going on, making it difficult to keep a steady running program. Vicious circle - no running, I put on weight, bothers my back, I have pain. Run to take off the weight, ankle starts bothering me again, I stop running, gain weight... back starts hurting. Oy. I fractured 3 fingers a year and a half ago in a mishap in the ring, and strained a few ligaments, but no health insurance = home treatment. Middle finger on left head still gets stiff and sore after punching. But at least I have no prescriptions!

    Megan, are you a boxer???

Another view, it sounded vaguely sexual. At least that's what I heard, although with all this Cialis talk it's no wonder my mind was in that direction...

We had a rally at the Ironhorse Stables in Eureka Springs. Some of my friends headed over to the BBBBQ but I road some other roads. Didn't take many pictures either. Hope you had fun.
