Ruby In B&W Before the storm 1-26-09
Something keeps drawing me back to Forks and the coast other than my accounts. No epic sunset on Monday just an approaching storm. 99.9%of Monday's images I've processed so far have been in B&W. Still its a great place to shoot even if you don't get your sunset shots. Little surprised when I woke up in the hotel Tuesday morning to a fresh pretty good blanket of snow, but by 8:00am it was just slush left.

    Thanks for looking

    I'm in awe.

I looked at your profile and I see you classify yourself as a beginner, and that you use a Canon 40D and that you have the 70-200 f/4 lens. (I am too and I do too, but mine look nothing like yours!)

Is this the camera and lens that you used here? Did you do any PP or is this right out of the camera?

    They all are gorgeous.

    Ray,

These are gorgeous photos! Beautifully composed and your choice of b&w was perfect. Thanks for sharing them. My favorite is the first one - but they are all excellent.

You sure do have a photographer's eye!

what a fabulous location? Where is it? Particularly like 1 and 2, very nice exposure and the smoothing out of the water works very well.

Great, especially the first one catches my eye.
You could wait several winters to see snow on those rocks.
