River and Rails

In my earlier thread CSX I focused on the rail yard at this location. My real purpose for being here was to get some River and Rail shots. It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon and the Ohio river was at it's very best. I'm just sorry that one of the many coal barges that frequent the river didn't make an appearance for me. These images are somewhat similar but I hope that there is enough difference to make each appealing on it's own as well.

Some nice scenery OT. After seeing it with the train though, I can't help but feel these are missing a little something :o That first shot from the CSX thread definitely gets my vote from this set.

With or without trains this has always been one of my favorite place to view the Ohio. But I agree a train on the move or a boat on the river makes it that much more special.

I can see why it would be one of your favorites. I could sit for hours at a place like that. Unfortunately, all my places view like that are elbow-to-elbow tourists right now :( Care to share your spot? :D
