Riding Deer Valley

This is my personal photo of the day from yesterday - Karl from Dirt Rag magazine, riding Deer Valley ski resort in Park City, Utah. There was a mountain bike press event and I went up to help out our guys with some scenic and ride photos. This one was an unplanned grab shot and I love it! Karl had just ridden down for a wide shot and was riding back up to get his backpack when I got this one. I'm glad I waited for it!

Taken with the Canon EOS 7D and the Canon EF-S 18-200mm IS zoom lens - my current favorite light mountain bike photo kit.

I was too busy on Friday to finish this post. Finally had a chance to set up a few more photos from Deer Valley, so here they are. The first one here is the photo I was taking before I took the one in the original post. The background at the top of Deer Valley is beautiful! This is looking west, from Park City at the backside of the Wasatch Mountains. Salt Lake City is on the other side of those mountains, about 6000 feet below..

Nice photos, John! That first one is a winner fer sure. You should be sure that Karl gets a load of that.

It was most excellent riding with you on the sweet Deer Valley trails.
