    I know what gauges are...

    give me a little credit!
Believe me, I'd probably be stretching my lobes and have a larger gauge in my navel if I didnt have kids that would inevitably yank it out, or if I were a few years younger as well.

Appears you replied WHILE I was editing ;)

So you are piercing the BRIDGE of your nose or the SEPTUM?

HEHEHE, I had both nostrils and the septum .....EYES WATER alot during the pierce. DO NOT put anything besides 18k gold or surgical steel(captive bead ring or nostril screw) in your nose!!

I have a friend with pierces from head to toe...... maybe he will share???

If you must know...... 6gauge tongue, 8 gauge nipples, 14 gauge tragus(piece of catalage in your ear hole...so to speak) pierces are all I have now. My youngest brother just got one done.... 15 years after I did ;)

Thank you Speed, that is sweet.
I honestly can't give a definitive reason as to WHY I want it... I am attracted to it I suppose. I love the way it looks. I've wanted one for a long long time.
I can tell you a few "Why's" as to why I didnt get it long ago... my dad would have flipped, for one. I waited until he passed away to get my navel done (when i was 21). The navel is like "standard issue" these days though. Its kind of addicting- Once you get one, you kind of want another. Second- I've always worked in a professional atmosphere up until recently. A couple of women I worked with were asked to remove their facial jewelry when they were hired or promoted to different positions with the firm.
Now I do not have that type of restriction.
A reason I do want one, is, my husband is Indian, and though he is not a very traditional Indian, some of the women in his family wear them still. From what I understand it is a sign of submissiveness and respect to the husband (any Indians feel free to correct me here, this is just what I've heard)... so I thought it might be a nice way to show my hubby I appreciate him, his family, and his culture.
He likes it, and he's all for it.

    nope.... left nostril....
    only using a small stud/screw.
i'd love a labret or a cheek....*sigh* but that may be a bit much for the family to handle.
Im having hubby take pics while they pierce.

    :-)

Dude, to each his own. I don't understand it, it has no appeal to me, but if it floats your boat, then go for it.

I don't know why, but nose piercings just seem nasty to me. I think I understand the nipple and genital piercings (OUCH!!!), along with the belly button. But the nose and eyebrows and below the lip are beyond me.

    Like I said, I'm just a dinosaur!

I want a navel piercing. Someday I'll be a granny going in to get her navel pierced.

I I like the nose pierce on some people, but not on everyone. A dainty little stone on the side of the nostril is cute. Anything bigger I don't like.

I want to get a third hole in my ear but each time I walk in the place I think, "not yet". I have no idea why I'm so chicken to do the third hole. Maybe because the second hole was a lot more difficult than the first.

Do It Do It Do It~

I went with two of my coworkers at the time to get my naval done. One of them was 39. My other co-worker was19 getting a second stud in her nose (and the firm promptly asked her to remove it).
The third hole in the ear is not as bad as the upper cartlidge. Well, its not that bad a feeling at all, really, until you leave the parlor and someone whacks you in passing with their elbow. Thats what happened to my upper cartlidge piercing.
    YOWS.
The naval didnt hurt bad at all. Anticipation is worse.
Keep me posted if you do it
