Ready to rumble (contains scenes of mild avian violence)
On the walk today, I finally managed to capture the local coots fighting.
Normally it's a high speed chase, far away from the bridge.
Today a pair of coots came into the territory of the most agressive pair on the lake, and one of them took on the two and won (as usual).
First the fight, the loser on his back.
Then the face off, the winner has his tail up.
Finally the agreement that they lost, the agressive posture relaxes.

An interesting sequence and you've caught it well. I really like the surface of the water too, especially in the third shot.

Thanks!
It was a good day, well and a bad day I suppose.
Blue sky with a few clouds meant the reflections in the water were an interesting colour.
That and the blackness of the birds against the dark water worked for a change.
I've tried to capture these on other days and it's just not as good.
Problem working with animals, birds and insects is you can't just tell 'em how to pose :)
