Another take on the 360 Pano....

Another take on the 360 Pano....

This is fun....maybe a little too fun.

    Handheld

More to come, as soon as I get a chance, I'm gonna do more, only taller and with a tripod. ;) (this one was made from 52 pictures in vertical format, I took about 100, but the 2 rows just didnt match up so I had to settle for 1 row)

I have so many places to take pictures of now....my car should be fun....many places downtown, some parks....oh man...

It's a nice panorama, but the software didn't stitch as good as I'm use to, I can see at least two stitch junctions. I've made a couple 360 deg panoramas but my software puts it out in the Quick Time Format.

52 pictures - where you using a long lens?

this is pretty cool. I had to use reopen safari w/ rosetta to view it, but it was worth it.

35mm equivalent, but in vertical format so I could have more vertical FOV. This software usually stitches it perfectly, with NO VISIBLE SEAMS at all, but I did this one handheld.

I use Autopano-SIFT, Hugin, and Emblend, they work together seamlessly, no pun intended. Autopano SIFT finds "control points", Hugin stitches the picture together, Emblend reduces or eliminates visible seams.

Re: Another take on the 360 Pano....

    Thanks everyone.

    But wait! There's more!

    21 images stitched

^ This one fell victim to an overzealous automatic seam eliminator, 2 clones got decapitated, and one got completely eliminated, but I replaced the decapitated ones manually, didnt figure the one that was completely gone was worth the effort/extra seams

in hindsight, I think the 52 picture one (original post) was either zoomed in a little or 2 layers.

This one I can't see any seams. You must of used a tripod? I will have to dig up one of my 360 panorama's or just make a new one to post. I haven't had must time to do any picture taking for awhile.
