    Pretty birds
I haven't taken any photos lately that I've felt are worthy to share here, so I'm lowering my standards. ;)

Last weekend while close to the British Columbia / Alberta border (continental divide in the Rockies) I saw some pretty birds. Found out they are Steller's jays and are not common that far east. They were rather skittish and my photos of them pretty much stink. But, just to show you what I think are some neat birds you may have never seen, I'm posting this pic.

    Taken with my Casio QV2800.

Your shot really shows all the great markings in the feathers - looks good! I have to laugh at your "confession" that you cropped 3 whole pixels. I'm an unashamed cropper. :) My shot was cropped about 25% I'd estimate. Thanks for digging for this pic.

BEATS ME WHY THE 1D has a few extra pixels? and I crop a few TOO MANY pixels on occation myself, but that's for ID shots usually :)

I also must tell you that this image is JUNK.... reason i kept was for referancing the flash/back lighting situation ;)

my true goals in AZ were.... warblers, wrens, raptors and hummingbirds

if a jay got in the way he got the flash :D

here is what i really wanted to shoot.. 25% of frame and i desided to be artsy with my file :)

    Hi Paul,
I enjoy seeing your wildlife photo's, they are inspiring.

Do you have any shots of Canada Geese, I'm thinking of trying my hand at them, we have hundreds in the flooded corn fields around here. I know they are common & maybe not your bag. ;)
