    Poster....
I made this a few years back for a friend of mine to hang on his wall. Featured here are Chameleons from a petshop where he worked.

    Nice!
That's cool. What camera did you shoot those with? Did you use a macro lens? The lighting is great and I really like the bottom right critter. I know we always anthropomorphize - but that guy's got character :D

    Hey John, Thanks!

I used a Minolta DiMage 7i on the 200mm Macro setting for the top left and bottom right images, and macro steeing at 28mm for the other 2. All the images are cropped somewhat, to fit them into the poster. I used MGI PhotoSuite 4 to make it, as it was in my Pre-Photoshop days. The lighting Has a lot to do with the full spectrum lights the use to provide the Herps with UV for Vit. D production. It produces the most beautiful colors. I took these without the aid of flash by holding the lens directly to the aquarium glass. The exposures were pretty long for hand held shots but the result of holding the lens to the tank glass was better than Anti-Shake.

I have to tell you, that one cham you picked out, he was quite the character. He had a lot of personality for a lizard. Funny little guy.

    Minolta
It really is too bad about Konica Minolta bailing on photography. That series of cameras - from the Dimage 7 to the A200, is excellent. I just don't trust Sony to make 'em that good. But maybe they'll prove me wrong.
