Chasing sticks in streams is one of Sadie's favorite games.

Aussie's may not be the strongest swimmers but a wet Aussie is a happy Aussie.
Is that a life jacket or a pack bag? I need to get a life jacket for Sadie before I take her out in my canoe.

    Good shots

Got my Sigma 30/1.4 back from repair the other day. This shot is ISO 3200, 1/100 at f:1.4, light is from two household ceiling lights with those 60W-equivalent flourescent bulbs in them. I had to fix white balance, but otherwise this is what I got:

I bought the lens on eBay with a known problem, the focus would not move closer than 3 or 4 feet. As I used it, though, the autofocus got to where it would hunt more and more, and finally got to where it just ran to both extremes and stopped.

I found the repair place with Google, and even after buying and repairing the lens I'm only out about 2/3 the price of a new one, so I'm happy with it. After the repair it autofocuses quickly and without hunting, and it focuses all the way through its designed range, down to about 8 inches or so.

Yeah it's a life vest. My little guy doesn't have much mass and little paws so he isn't a strong swimmer. But fiercely loyal and will follow me into any water so I use the vest when out all day on the water.

Poppy puppy looks to be having a very good time!!!!

Here is Gizmo, now about 6 years old. I have an 85mm f:1.8 pre-AI lens, converted to AI. It's fun to play with once in a while, even on my crop-sensor D7000! These shots were taken when I'd opened the front window taking advantage of cooler weather. The light is from the open window. All are at f:1.8, speeds from 1/160 to 1/250, ISO 400.

The open window lets in so many wonderful things to sniff on!

Don't get him looking right at the camera often.....
