    Hodgy -- Nice image. She understands how to look at a camera. How the heck do you and AC get these young ladies to seduce the camera? Ahhh. Good looks. Something I've been waiting to arrive for since I was 4 (I was a cute kid) :)

    Only one critical comment. Does this young woman have braces? It seems that I can see some sparkle coming from the mouth. It's one of the first things I noticed.

    Another question. I find that some of the best portraits are when one can detect a "highlight" ring around the pupil of the eyes. Does anyone know how this is accomplished?

    Ac, Todd, thanks for the comments. Yup, she has braces, and I did take some with her not smiling and some with her in a full smile. I could go in and remove them, but she didn't ask so I won't. I always look for specular in the eyes. To me, the eyes are the key, so I want to have a nice catchlight in there! Once I do, I will also, dodge it a bit. I cannot for the life of me add a good catchlight in the eyes, if there isn't already one there. So I make sure I get one at the time of capture.

    Well, Hallelujah, Hodgy! I worked my ass off getting good catchlight in the model's gorgeous eyes this weekend, and then in processing dodged slightly to enhance the light. I felt like I was "cheating" until you just said that.

    And your shot's kick*ss. Here's my new take on it, thanks to a friend who put it into perspective. "Don't use photoshop to fix ****, I use it to enhance it. There's a difference!"
