Trying to be a little artsy fartsy.
[QUOTE=ACArmstrong]Sony F717 - Hotlights - Black seamless background. I shot these this weekend for fun. Trying to be a little artsy fartsy. Hope you enjoy them.

Incredible use of light and shadow. Nicely exposed, and great detail.

1,7 and 8 work for me. I also think your use of shadows is excellent.

    Moved to another level...
Andy you moved it to another level with these images. Wonderful use of light and the b&w conversion are spot on in most of the images. Great detail and for the most part your crops are superb. Since this isn't the critque forum I'll stop with that, but let me say that I loved your images they were refreshing and different for this board. Alway nice to see different types of images form a photographer. Well done you have given us a real variety over the last few post.

This type of photography isn't for everyone, including myself, but I do agree that you've done really well with your lighting, shadows, and choosing b&w. Nice work.

Thanks a million Old Timer! The idea was to capture something soft and harsh at the same time (e.g., pleasure and pain). I also wanted the images to have sexual overtones, but not be in your face about it, so full nudity was completely out of the question. Even the final shot is a "clothed" shot (if you can call a thong clothing). --- Oh yeah, and thanks for the cropping compliment - these are cropped exactly as I saw them through the camera, so there was no actual cropping in PS.

Nat - I can't edit it anymore, but I figured there was no real nudity, so that's why the PG-13 rating. It's funny how these images come off as hypersexual to many, but really aren't about sex or sexuality. Of course, my series title could have a lot to do with setting the tone for the images. Interestingly enough, if I took away the last image, their would be nothing close to nudity in these images.

Charles - thanks for getting past the subject to critique on techique - I appreciate it.

I've shot and posted plenty of glamour nudes here and on other sites(you can check my garageglamour.com link), so I enjoyed viewing your good work...I admit, though, that I simply don't understand that lifestyle. I was asked to do a bondage shoot awhile back...turned it down. Because I don't understand that world, I didn't think I could do the images justice. You've done well with these.

Here's a contact sheet of some color from this shoot
You have some really nice shots in that portfolio, Charles - I'd love to talk to you about some of the finishing touches you've put on some of those.

Here's how some of the color turned out from this shoot.

Color looks good with these, although I guess traditional bondage-type images are more effective in b&w. Thanks for the compliment on the portfolio. Email me sometime and we can chat.
