Please Armor Yourself Before Approaching Wildlife
Re: Please Armor Yourself Before Approaching Wildlife
Whoa. Driving through here at night could be fraught with peril
Re: Please Armor Yourself Before Approaching Wildlife
Haha... no kidding.
Great shot. Love that sky!
Re: Please Armor Yourself Before Approaching Wildlife
thanks guys. I did not want to post this to critique, because the focus is a bit off. I had issues with focus in general on this trip.
Re: Please Armor Yourself Before Approaching Wildlife
love it, reminds me of the news story about the New York vacationing in Yellowstone, while driving through at night in his VW Beetle he was stopped by a rather large herd of bison. Someone on the other side decided to spook the herd and they trampled the VW to dust. It was interesting explaining that one to the insurance agent, I'm sure. So not only armor yourself, use heavy armor when it comes to bison!
Re: Please Armor Yourself Before Approaching Wildlife
Did you use some sort of cloud filter to get that effect in the sky daq?
Re: Please Armor Yourself Before Approaching Wildlife
Nice ... And good thing everyone stopped.
Where have you been Daq?
Re: Please Armor Yourself Before Approaching Wildlife
Well, I have been focusing on painting and digital art more than photography. I haven't been avoiding the group, just not doing a lot of photography lately.
The effect in the sky is an artifact of the way I made this. It is exposure blending, but I am using custom textured brushes to do the blending rather than smooth round brushes. So the sky pattern, while being just blends of a few different exposures, is really only textured because of the brushes. There were no clouds at all. You can see the texture on the back of Lori's riding jacket as well.
This really was an uncomfortable and somewhat dangerous situation. The cows got a bit spooked by her engine, and with little ones around, well, we were both pretty nervous.
