    Playing around with HDR
    Using the trail version of photomatrix. Used lightroom to bracket some old shots.

    Photomatix will make use of all the data in a RAW file without you doing the bracketing. Just FILE>OPEN the RAW file and it will create the 'pseudo-HDR'.

    I think they look good. On the comparison pic though, I don't think anything was picked up since there were no blown out or areas lost in shadows. Looks more like just added contrast and/or saturation.

    Thanks, TF. I never shot raw, so I don't have any existing shots I could use. I'll have to start shooting RAW and Jpeg.

    I used different detail refining settings for the lighthouse, one also used more shots (one had 5 and one used 16 shots bracketed at 1/3).

    Nice photos.. Love the one with the waterfall. i just dowmloaded Photmatix trial version myself.
