In A Photoshop Age, Can You Believe Your Eyes?

There was an interesting discussion on NPR's talk of the yesterday. They talked about the use of Photoshop in the media and discussed some recent cases of photos being altered in the news.

You can listen to it here.

They also talked to Hany Farid about his article "Photo Tampering Throughout History"

Re: In A Photoshop Age, Can You Believe Your Eyes?

Photoshop has little to do with it.
It has always been possible to alter images.
    Airbrushing people out, for example.
What about double exposures, putting a large moon into a night shot ?

Digital imaging makes it easier perhaps.
Less skill required to do it, but just as much skill requires to do it well
